Plano, TX (July 26, 2026) – A 27 year old woman was killed and another person suffered serious injuries following a two vehicle collision at an intersection in Plano Friday afternoon.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety , the fatal crash occurred at approximately 2:40 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at the intersection of Mission Ridge Road and West Parker Road.
Investigators with the Plano Police Department reported that a Nissan Frontier traveling westbound on West Parker Road attempted to turn south onto Mission Ridge Road and collided with an eastbound Infiniti QX50. Following the impact, the Infiniti left the roadway and struck a light pole.
A 27 year old female passenger in the Infiniti was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Infiniti sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The occupant of the Nissan was evaluated at the scene and later released.
