Clarksville, TN (June 11, 2025) – A bicyclist was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after a crash involving a truck on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, leading to road closures and a medical evacuation by air.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 3:53 p.m. on June 10 near New South Drive. Clarksville Police reported a serious collision between a truck and a bicyclist, prompting an immediate response from emergency crews. The injured cyclist was flown by LifeFlight to a hospital in Nashville for treatment.
Police initially shut down northbound lanes of MLK Parkway between Fire Station Road and New South Drive while the Fatal Accident Crash Team investigated. At one point, traffic was backed up significantly in both directions, nearly reaching Interstate 24.
By 5:05 p.m., authorities confirmed that MLK Parkway had reopened, and the bicyclist’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
