Galloway, NJ (July 30, 2025) – A man was critically injured late Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle in Galloway Township.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 11:10 p.m. on July 29 near the intersection of South Pomona Road and Langley Avenue. Galloway Township Police responded to calls about a person lying in the roadway and arrived to find Domingo Lopez-Lopez unconscious and unresponsive in the southbound lane.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Jhoanssel Castro was heading southbound in the outer lane of South Pomona Road when it struck Lopez-Lopez, who was walking westbound across the roadway toward Langley Avenue.
Emergency responders transported the victim to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center–City Division, where he remains in critical condition. The roadway was shut down for approximately two hours as police conducted an on-site investigation.
The Galloway Township Police Department continues to examine the circumstances of the crash. No charges have been announced at this time.
