Clackamas County, OR (October 3, 2025) – A man was killed Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash that ended with a truck slamming into a restaurant building in the community of Boring, according to local officials.
According to the Oregon State Police, the deadly accident occurred around 6:05 a.m. on September 30, 2025, on Highway 212 near Southeast Richey Road. Authorities say 77-year-old Anthony Cyrill Koenig of Lake Oswego was driving a Ford F-150 eastbound when, for reasons still under investigation, he left the roadway and crashed into the front of the Timber Bar & Grill.
Koenig was pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, a person inside the restaurant at the time of the crash was not injured. The impact caused substantial property damage and prompted the closure of Highway 212 for approximately four hours while crews worked to clear the area.
