Livermore, CA (September 25, 2025) – A fatal motorcycle crash claimed the life of 37-year-old Darin Chuck Ming Chan early Monday morning at a busy Livermore intersection.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 4 a.m. on September 23 at the intersection of Airway Boulevard and Isabel Avenue. Chan, a Livermore resident, was reportedly stopped at a red light on westbound Airway Boulevard, preparing to make a right turn onto northbound Isabel Avenue.
While initiating the turn, he lost control of his motorcycle and crossed Isabel Avenue, where he struck a car that was slowing for a red light. After the impact, the motorcycle also collided with a concrete barrier.
Chan was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 35-year-old Modesto driver of the other vehicle was unharmed and remained at the site to assist authorities. One lane of southbound Isabel Avenue near Interstate 580 was closed for approximately four hours during the investigation.
