Bakersfield, CA (October 31, 2025) – A 31-year-old bicyclist, Eduardo Godinez, was tragically killed early Saturday morning, October 25, after being struck by a vehicle in south Bakersfield. The fatal crash occurred around 3:42 a.m. in the 5900 block of South Union Avenue, according to authorities.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Godinez was riding his bicycle southbound on Union Avenue when he was struck by a gray 2017 Nissan Altima driven by a 32-year-old woman. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced Godinez deceased.
