Metairie, LA (June 10, 2025) – A devastating multi-vehicle crash on Clearview Parkway left two people dead and several others injured Monday morning in Jefferson Parish.

News sources show that 80-year-old Oscar Carter IV and 77-year-old Martha Bradford, both from New Orleans, were traveling northbound in a 2013 Infiniti G37 near King Street on June 9 when the accident occurred around 11 a.m. According to Louisiana State Police, Carter veered left from the center lane and struck a Nissan Altima moving in the same direction. The Infiniti then ran onto the median and struck a tree, while the Nissan was pushed into southbound lanes and collided with a 2020 Buick Encore.

Carter, who was not properly restrained, died at the scene. Bradford succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital. A third passenger in the Infiniti, who was wearing a seatbelt, was treated for minor injuries. Others in the Nissan and Buick also sustained minor injuries and were transported for medical evaluation.

Toxicology results are pending, and the crash remains under investigation.
