Fairfield, CA (October 16, 2025) – A woman was killed and a man seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning on Highway 80 in Fairfield, according to officials with the California Highway Patrol.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on October 14 on the eastbound side of Highway 80 near the Manuel Campos Parkway exit. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger riding in the front seat suffered major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency care. His current condition has not been publicly released.
