According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred around 11 a.m. on October 12 in the 1800 block of FM 730. Authorities stated that a Ford F-250 pickup truck was heading southbound when, for reasons still under investigation, it collided with a northbound Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Morgan.
Morgan was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Ford F-250 was uninjured. A passenger in the pickup was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
