Phoenix, AZ (October 7, 2025) – A devastating hit-and-run crash on Interstate 10 in west Phoenix left a 6-year-old child dead and another child injured Sunday night.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the deadly crash occurred just before 8:00 p.m. on October 5 on the westbound side of I-10 near 67th Avenue. A pickup truck and a passenger vehicle were involved in the incident.
Investigators say the passenger vehicle drifted to the left and struck a concrete median wall. A six-year-old child inside the vehicle was rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically did not survive. A second child, age four, was also transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
