Grafton, MA (July 1, 2026) – An off-duty Massachusetts State Police trooper was killed in a motorcycle crash involving multiple vehicles Sunday evening in Grafton. Authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
According to the Massachusetts State Police , the crash occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. on June 28 at the intersection of Providence Road and Milford Road. The collision involved at least two passenger vehicles and a motorcycle.
Officials identified the motorcyclist as Jacob Mick, 31, a Massachusetts State Police trooper and Northborough native. Mick was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of one of the passenger vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
Trooper Mick graduated with the Massachusetts State Police 88th Recruit Training Troop in 2023. Before joining the state police, he served as an officer with the Northborough Police Department.
