Burlingame, CA (August 12, 2025) – Authorities have identified 4-year-old Ayden Fang as the child killed in a tragic crash Friday night in downtown Burlingame. The incident occurred on August 8 outside the Truffle Poke Bar restaurant on Donnelly Avenue.
According to reports, Ayden and a 6-year-old girl had finished eating and were playing on the sidewalk while their families were inside the restaurant. Investigators say a 19-year-old woman pulled her sedan in front of an e-bike operated by an 11-year-old, causing the e-bike to collide with the car. The driver then accelerated across the street, jumped a curb, and struck both children on the sidewalk.
Ayden died from his injuries, while the girl was taken to Stanford Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police stated the e-bike appeared to be following all traffic laws at the time. The driver remained at the scene, and the investigation continues.
