Folsom, CA (January 25, 2026) – A devastating crash at a light rail station in Folsom claimed the life of a bystander on Thursday afternoon, January 22.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. when a Tesla crashed into the ADA access ramp at Iron Point Station, located near the Folsom Premium Outlet. The vehicle flipped after impact and came to rest on the light rail tracks near Folsom Boulevard.
The Folsom Fire Department confirmed that the Tesla left the roadway, struck the platform, and fatally struck a 22-year-old woman who was waiting for a train. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
