San Francisco, CA. (November 25, 2025) – A multi-vehicle pileup, including a rollover, caused significant traffic delays and minor injuries Monday morning on Interstate 80 in San Francisco.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 8:14 a.m. on November 24 on the westbound side of Interstate 80, just east of the Yerba Buena Island off-ramp. Responding officers discovered a gray Mazda flipped onto the driver’s side with the occupant trapped inside, along with a white Dodge truck and a white Honda Accord involved in the crash.
One unidentified vehicle fled the scene. Investigators suspect the Honda Accord may have initiated the crash. At least one person sustained minor injuries, though it was not immediately confirmed whether they were taken to the hospital.
Lanes 1 and 2 of I-80 westbound were closed temporarily as crews cleared the scene.
