Los Angeles, CA (November 5, 2025) – A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was injured late Monday night in a crash with an SUV near the LAPD Metropolitan Detention Center in downtown Los Angeles.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place shortly after 11:00 p.m. on November 3 near the intersection of Temple Street and Los Angeles Street. The officer’s motorcycle collided with the front passenger side of a white BMW SUV.

Footage from the scene showed the motorcycle downed near the intersection. The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics. He was later transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

The woman driving the SUV remained on site and cooperated fully with investigators. At this time, authorities have not confirmed what caused the crash.
