Los Angeles, CA (November 5, 2025) – A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was injured late Monday night after a collision with an SUV near the LAPD Metropolitan Detention Center in downtown Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened shortly after 11:00 p.m. on November 3 near the intersection of Temple Street and Los Angeles Street. The crash involved the officer’s police motorcycle and a white BMW SUV.
Video from the scene showed the officer’s motorcycle on its side after it struck the front passenger area of the BMW. Paramedics responded to the scene and treated the officer for non-life-threatening injuries before transporting him for further evaluation.
The woman driving the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities have not yet determined what caused the collision, and the investigation is ongoing.
