Whiteside County, IL (January 17, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 84 Thursday night left one person dead and two others seriously injured, according to local authorities.
According to the Illinois State Police, the crash occurred around 9:21 p.m. on January 15 near Spring Valley Road. Emergency responders arrived to find all three individuals involved suffering from serious injuries. Each was extricated from their vehicles and transported to a hospital in Clinton, Iowa.
One of the drivers later died from their injuries. The remaining two victims were hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Their current conditions have not been publicly updated.
