El Cajon, CA (November 7, 2025) – A 78-year-old man sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident Tuesday afternoon in El Cajon.
According to the El Cajon Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 3:28 p.m. on November 4 in the 400 block of Fletcher Parkway. The man was walking in the area when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene without stopping to help.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after and transported the injured pedestrian to a local hospital with serious injuries. He is expected to survive.
Police later located the suspected driver, identified as 19-year-old Brian Guevara, and arrested him on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. He was booked into the county jail.
The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
