San Luis Obispo, CA (October 22, 2025) – A motorcycle rider suffered critical injuries following a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon in Cayucos, near the Whale Rock Reservoir.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:25 p.m. on October 21 along Old Creek Road. The crash involved a silver Toyota sedan and at least one motorcycle. Authorities believe the two collided head-on under circumstances still being investigated.
Emergency crews, including firefighters and paramedics, arrived at the scene to provide immediate medical aid. The injured rider was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Due to the severity of the wreck, both lanes of Old Creek Road were closed temporarily as debris was cleared. Two motorcycles and the involved sedan were towed from the site.
