Friona, TX (September 26, 2026) – A 59-year-old man identified as Timothy James Holst was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon, September 23, at the intersection of State Highway 86 and State Highway 214 near Friona in Parmer County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. Reports indicate that Shayanne Marie Clover, 30, was driving a Ford Expedition eastbound on State Highway 86 when the SUV collided with a 2019 Mack tractor-trailer traveling southbound on State Highway 214.
Following the initial impact, the Mack tractor-trailer crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a Freightliner truck driven by Holst. Holst suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Clover sustained serious injuries and was transported to Parmer County Community Hospital for treatment. The Mack truck driver, 51-year-old Jose Omar Cano, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
