Kempner, TX (October 16, 2025) – A tragic crash Wednesday morning on U.S. Highway 190 claimed the life of one adult and left two teens seriously injured.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred around 9:59 a.m. on October 15 when a Ford Edge, which had been stopped on the westbound shoulder of US 190, attempted to make a U-turn. The vehicle was struck by a westbound Ford Explorer.
The 51-year-old driver of the Ford Edge died at the scene due to the impact. Two 13-year-old passengers, a boy and a girl, were seriously hurt and airlifted to McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple for emergency care.
