Pima County, CA (October 22, 2025) – A crash involving a sheriff’s deputy responding to a call left one person injured Tuesday morning in Pima County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at the intersection of Thornydale Road and Cortaro Farms Road on October 21. Multiple vehicles were yielding to a Pima County Sheriff’s Department unit with lights and sirens activated when a motorist reportedly failed to yield and struck the deputy’s vehicle.
The driver who collided with the patrol unit sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. The deputy involved was not injured in the crash.
