Irvington, NJ (December 4, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash in Irvington on Sunday night claimed the life of a Union County man, authorities confirmed.
According to the New Jersey State Police, the collision occurred around 9:00 p.m. on December 1. A Kia Telluride was heading westbound along Lyons Avenue when it struck a Honda Civic driven by 40-year-old Dwaine Harry of Roselle Park. The impact pushed the Kia off the roadway and onto the sidewalk, where it entered a parking lot, struck an unoccupied parked vehicle, and eventually slammed into a wall at 485 Lyons Avenue.
Both drivers were transported to Beth Israel Hospital. Harry, who had been operating the Honda, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Kia driver sustained only minor injuries, according to officials.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the crash remains under investigation.
