Newberry Springs, CA (July 29, 2026) – An 85-year-old Glendale man lost his life and two women were injured following a single vehicle rollover crash Tuesday afternoon along Interstate 15 in unincorporated San Bernardino County.
According to the California Highway Patrol the crash occurred at approximately 12:06 p.m. on July 28 along southbound Interstate 15, north of Harvard Road in Newberry Springs. Investigators said a Toyota Avalon was traveling south when, for reasons still under investigation, it drifted onto the right shoulder, continued off the roadway, and overturned.
The driver, later identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office as Artin Missakian, 85, of Glendale, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two unidentified female passengers sustained injuries in the rollover and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
