Jackson County, MO (February 7, 2026) – Two drivers were injured Wednesday morning in a three-vehicle collision on westbound Interstate 70, just west of Route AA/BB in Jackson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:42 a.m. on February 4. A 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by a 27-year-old man from Coffeyville, Kansas, struck the rear of a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The impact caused the Equinox to then rear-end a 2016 Volvo VNL traveling in the same westbound lane.
The driver of the Dodge Ram suffered minor injuries and was transported to Truman Medical Center. The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox, a 49-year-old man from Lee’s Summit, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center. The Volvo driver was uninjured and able to drive from the scene.
The Dodge Ram and Chevrolet were both towed from the crash site by Hookers Tow. The collision temporarily affected traffic as emergency crews cleared the scene.
