Ector County, TX (November 21, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash in Ector County earlier this month has claimed the life of a Gardendale woman, according to state officials.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred on November 13 at the intersection of East Cottonwood Road and North Saddlehorn Lane. Roberta Hall Willhelm, 76, was behind the wheel of a Buick Park Avenue attempting a left turn onto Saddlehorn Lane when she reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
Her vehicle was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 20-year-old man from Fort Stockton. Both drivers were transported to Medical Center Hospital. Willhelm suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead two days later, on Saturday, November 15. The other driver sustained minor injuries.
The collision remains under investigation by the Texas DPS.
