Danvers, MA (July 24, 2025) – A serious collision between two trucks brought traffic to a standstill on Interstate 95 southbound Monday evening in Danvers, causing rush hour delays and sending three people to the hospital.
According to reports, the crash occurred on July 21 near the Centre Street overpass. A box truck and a tractor-trailer collided, leaving the front end of the larger truck crumpled and partially off the highway. Emergency responders from the Danvers Fire Department and state police rushed to the scene.
One of the truck drivers was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by fire crews. In total, three individuals were injured in the crash but were transported with non-life-threatening injuries to local hospitals.
A heavy-duty tow truck was needed to remove the damaged vehicles, and traffic remained backed up for an extended period while crews worked to clear the highway.
