According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on October 4 along Feather River Boulevard near Myrna Avenue. A Chevy S-10 driven by a Plumas Lake resident was traveling southbound when it veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Ford vehicle.
The 72-year-old driver of the Chevy was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger inside the Ford suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
