Harris County, TX (October 8, 2025) – A woman riding a motorcycle was injured Monday night after being struck by a law enforcement vehicle involved in a pursuit in north Harris County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident unfolded on October 6 near the intersection of Aldine Bender Road and Hardy Road. Around 9:00 p.m., deputies began pursuing a stolen Honda sedan after receiving a report from the vehicle’s owner, who was carjacked by an armed suspect and had a tracker on the vehicle.
The suspect led deputies on a chase lasting roughly 45 minutes. During the pursuit, a K9 deputy responding to assist reportedly ran a red light—with lights and sirens activated—and collided with a female motorcyclist.
The impact ejected the woman from her motorcycle. She was transported to a local hospital with injuries but is expected to recover. The deputy sustained minor injuries and declined hospitalization. His K9 partner was unharmed.
The suspect later crashed near Airline Drive and Sunnyside Street, where he was arrested. He now faces multiple felony charges.
